Laggy audio in YouTube on Safari with NoMachine 7.7.4 or later
Users of NoMachine v. 7.7.4 on macOS 12 Monterey experience laggy audio when playing a video on YouTube on Safari.
This doesn't occur when playing a video with other applications or with YouTube in another browser (e.g. Chrome).
This behaviour doesn't depend on NoMachine software strictly speaking, but it's likely to triggered by the new audio driver implemented according to Apple instructions (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/coreaudio/creating_an_audio_server_driver_plug-in).
Previous versions of NoMachine provide instead nxaudio component based on Soundflower-20110308 KEXT driver type which don't exhibit such behaviour. However, switching to the new driver has been necessary to be compliant with most recent macOS versions. KEXT drivers like Soundflower are deprecated since macOS 10.15, and even if they still work it's strongly advisable to replace them before their support is completely dropped on the macOS systems (ref. https://developer.apple.com/support/kernel-extensions/).
