In order to apply NoMachine profile rules to AD groups, create the NoMachine rule and apply it to the AD group. The group name must be specified in format 'DOMAIN\groupname'

The general format of the rule is:

nxserver --ruleadd --class CLASS --type TYPE --value no|yes|value --group DOMAIN\groupname

Refer to the Installation and Configuration guide of your NoMachine server product at https://www.nomachine.com/all-documents to find out which profile rules are available.

These profile rules are specific for NoMachine sessions, for example they can define which type of sessions users can run, if they can copy&paste from/to the session or print and in case of multinode environments, which node(s) are accessible to them. These rules don't apply to the system as a whole.

If you need to define general rules, you can do that via AD. They will apply also to users who login via NoMachine.
