Deploying Advanced Server and NX Advanced Server Nodes in NX 3.5.0

At least one NX Advanced Server Node Subscription should be purchased when registering for a NX Advanced Server Subscription. This NX Advanced Node Subscription(s) will be installed on the node server(s) which are behind your NX Server. Node subscriptions can be purchased separately, but there must be a Server already in place, which has not expired, to which you will associate the Advanced Server Node.

Let us imagine an example of 1 server (the entry point for session requests) and a number of add-on nodes. You will need the following for your installation:

  • - One NX Advanced Server Subscription.
  • - One NX Advanced Server Node Subscription for each machine that is to function as a node within your set-up, and not local to the NX server machine.

Please note that the NX Advanced Server Subscription will provide you with a license for the Advanced Server Node local to your NX server. Therefore, for the machine where you place your NX Advanced Server Subscription, you will not need to purchase an NX Advanced Server Node Subscription.

So if your set-up looks like this:

1 main server (session entry point) and 3 additional node servers,

you will therefore need:

1 subscription for the Advanced Server, and 3 subscriptions for the Advanced Server Nodes.

Renewing Advanced Server and Node Subscriptions

When renewing Node subscriptions, there must already be a valid Server Subscription in place, and one that has not expired. It is not possible to renew only Advanced Server Node subscriptions. Likewise when purchasing a new Node subscription (first installation), there must already be a Server to which it can be associated. Your purchase will therefore order at least one Advanced Server and at least one Advanced Server Node, or will indicate the Server Subscription ID (not expired) already in your possession.
