What to do if NX Client 3.5.0 is unable to find the Apple X11 server on Mac OS X

NX Client 3.5.0 for Mac OS X requires the Apple xserver to be installed and checks for  the presence of the Apple X server in either /Applications or /Applications/Utilities.

When the Apple X server is not available, the client reports:

NX client for MacOSX was not able to find the Apple X11 server.

In the newer versions of OSX, as Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger,  X11 may be not installed as default. You can install it using your Installation DVD. The package can be found at the following path:

System/Installation/Packages/X11User.pkg

Please note also that it seems that no stable version of Apple X server is available for Mac 10.2. In this case, upgrading to 10.3 Panther or newer becomes a requirement:
