The option to 'Save the settings' when using NoMachine User Interface explained
This article refers to NoMachine client when being used with NoMachine server v. 4 or later.
NoMachine User Interface for client connections allows you to save some settings such as username and password and even the session type you have selected when running 'Create a new virtual desktop or custom session' from the available session list.
By checking options to save the settings in the connection file, settings of your connection are automatically re-used every time you start it.
This means for example the username and password will now be the settings for that connection and you will not be requested to provide your credentials again.
If you want to change the session type of the connection you configured earlier and for which you checked the save settings option, you have two choices:
1) You can restore the default behavior of the NoMachine client in the Preferences panel of the NoMachine User Interface.
2) You can create a new connection with a new name.
