Troubleshooting automatic updates

If the automatic updates from the NoMachine repository cannot complete for some reasons, it could be helpful to collect logs for troubleshooting the problem. To do that:

1) Launch NoMachine on your computer from Programs or Applications.

2) Access Player settings -> Security panel (or  'Settings' -> 'Privacy' panel for previous NoMachine versions) and check the 'Don't delete log files on exit' option.

3) Access the 'Updates' panel and click on 'Check now' to reproduce the problem.

4) Look for the .nx directory on the device that you're trying to update. The .nx directory is usually in your user's home: $HOME/.nx on Linux and macOSand %USERPROFILE%/.nx on Windows  (.nx is a hidden folderon Windows).

5) Compress the .nx directory and send it to the Support Team as email attachment.
