This is the normal behaviour, NX Server 3.5.0 does not install any daemon: instead it uses the standard SSH daemon already installed on the host system to service the requests of the clients. Passing authentication credentials to the SSH subsystem also implies that NX Server can be configured to reuse any PAM-aware authentication method provided by the native system.
