If you are sitting at your computer and working on your local desktop, you can allow a colleague, friend, or family member to connect and collaborate with you, provided that Guest Desktop Sharing is enabled in your NoMachine server settings.When someone connects to your desktop as a guest, their session counts as one incoming desktop connection.

Important Note About Personal Edition
A computer running NoMachine Personal Edition allows only one active desktop connection at a time. This means that if you are remotely connected to your Personal Edition computer, a second user cannot connect to the same desktop simultaneously. A second connection would exceed the allowed limit. If you require multiple users to access the same remote computer at the same time, you should use Enterprise Desktop, which is designed for concurrent remote access.

Attended Remote Access
When a user who is not the owner of the desktop connects, the desktop owner can choose whether that user:

• - Can view and interact with the desktop, or
• - Can view only without controlling the desktop.

  This is known as attended remote access, since the desktop owner remains in control of the permissions granted to the connecting user.

How Users Connect
Users can connect to your desktop in one of two ways:

• - Using the computer's IP address.
• - Using the computer's Machine Id. If you want someone to connect using the Machine Id, you must provide them with that Machine Id and your computer must be published on NoMachine Network.

NoMachine Network Requirement
Connecting to a computer using its Machine Id is a feature of the NoMachine Network service. Therefore, the user that wants to connect to the target computer must have an active NoMachine Network subscription.
