NoMachine 8.7.1 for iOS and Android now available

Luxembourg, July 27th, 2023

NoMachine today announces a software update for its Android and iOS client apps providing improvements and fixes for issues which were affecting the previous release.

Among the most important enhancements, NoMachine for Mobile, like NoMachine for the Desktop, switches to using H.264 by default, instead of using VP8, with better performance on all the devices we tested.

On iOS devices, NoMachine now hides the "Home indicator", an UI element used to access the device home and switch between applications that could prevent using some areas of the remote desktop. NoMachine now hides the Home indicator and, by following the iOS guidelines, users can swipe in from the bottom edge of the screen to show it again.

The complete list of fixed Trouble Reports:

TR07U10937 - The extended keyboard opens up unexpectedly on Chromebook
TR03U10809 - Copy&Paste doesn't work correctly on Android devices
TR04U10847 - Hardware keyboard doesn't work correctly on iPad
TR05U10869 - The iOS application doesn't show LAN servers in the list of connections
