NoMachine 10 now available for download

NoMachine announces the immediate availability of version 10, which introduces powerful new features and an even faster remote access experience. Key additions include remote terminal connections, allowing shell access to any NoMachine host and SSH server without launching a full desktop, as well as integrated single sign-on for streamlined authentication. Version 10 also introduces the NoMachine Personal Edition, a new commercial product designed for professionals seeking fast, reliable remote access at an affordable price. Full support for virtual desktops on Wayland and enhanced Linux hardware encoding through VA-API are also included.

Remote terminal connections
Run secure remote terminals to any macOS, Linux, or Windows NoMachine system, without requiring a full desktop connection. No need for SSH on the server because NoMachine implements its own remote shell server. Connect to machines to execute scripts and carry out admin tasks, all remotely without having to run a full remote desktop. The new Personal Edition

Enterprise Single Sign-On
NoMachine Enterprise products extend support for Single Sign-On (SSO) methods to OAuth and OpenID Connect protocols. Besides Kerberos tokens, NoMachine authentication can now also be handled through tokens issued by Identity Providers like Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, Keycloak, and Google Identity. Native Wayland support for GNOME 49 or later
This version provides full virtual desktop support for GNOME running on the Wayland display server. Users of Linux distributions which ship GNOME 49 or later can now run NoMachine virtual desktops and custom sessions.

Support for VA-API hardware acceleration on Linux
In addition to the already supported encoding/decoding methods, NoMachine v10 on Linux can now use the Video Acceleration API (VA-API) interface, supported by most common video cards including AMD, Intel, and NVIDIA GPUs, to encode/decode video and offload the CPU.

Empowered server audit logs
Monitoring of user activity can be activated in the NoMachine server to log events like login, desktop sharing, copy&paste and file transfer and, where multinode environments are in place, also the status of remote nodes. Activity related to automatic recording of the user's desktop can also be logged.

Online license validation through an HTTP proxy
NoMachine server v10 can be configured to connect to the NoMachine licensing server through an HTTP proxy when this is requested by the environment's settings and company's policies. If the NoMachine server is published on NoMachine Network, it will use the same proxy settings also for connecting to the Network server. Support for multiple interfaces in the nxd service
A new key in server.cfg, NXDAddressFamily, allows to specify the address families to which the nxd service will be bound, for example 'NXDAddressFamily inet,inet6'. Additionally, the NXDListenAddress key is updated to accept multiple interfaces, specified as address:port pairs in a comma-separated list.

NoMachine Cluster slave redirection in NAT environments
In NAT environments where the address reachable by external clients is different to the internal cluster's virtual IP configured on the server, a set of new commands lets administrators specify the external host/IP address and ports that should be advertised to clients when a connection is load-balanced to the slave peer. More tools for administrators
A new command, 'nxserver --hostkeylist' allows to list all the host keys known by the NoMachine server. The existent command 'nxserver --removehostkey' has been renamed into 'nxserver --hostkeydel' by preserving compatibility with old name. Similarly, 'nxserver --subscriptionremove' has been renamed into 'nxserver --subscriptiondel'.

Centralized debug in multinode environments
The 'nxserver --debug --enable' command now accepts the '--dynamic NODE_NAME' option to
enable debug log level on the given node from the main server.

Download NoMachine Packages

You can download the latest packages suitable for your Operating System from the NoMachine Web site at the following URL: https://download.nomachine.com . Customers holding a valid subscription can log in to their User Area and download the appropriate server package for their subscription from the Enterprise > Downloads section. Note that Support Contacts are no longer entitled to access packages from the Customer's User Area. They can however download the appropriate package from the https://download.nomachine.com/enterprise/ page.

Automatic updates

The automatic check for updates is scheduled to check our repositories every two days.

To update the free NoMachine package:
- Open the NoMachine User Interface from your Programs Menu.
- From the Machines panel click on 'Settings', then on 'Server' and finally on 'Updates'.
- Then click on the 'Check now' button.

To update the NoMachine Enterprise Client immediately:
- Click on 'Settings', from the Player panel click 'Updates'.
- Then click on the 'Check now' button.

Manual package installation or update

Please follow the instructions to install the package or update your installation manually:

On Windows:

- Download and save the EXE file.
- Double click on the NoMachine executable file.

The Setup Wizard will take you through all steps necessary for installing or updating NoMachine.

On macOS:

- Download and save the DMG file.
- Double-click on the Disk Image to open it and double-click on the NoMachine program icon.

The Installer will take you through all steps necessary for installing or updating NoMachine.

On Linux:

You can use the graphical package manager provided by your Linux distribution or update NoMachine by command line by following instructions below. If you don't have the sudo utility installed, log on as superuser ("root") and run the commands without sudo.

RPM

- Download and save the RPM file.
- Install the package by running:
# rpm -ivh pkgName_pkgVersion_arch.rpm

or update your NoMachine installation by running:
# rpm -Uvh pkgName_pkgVersion_arch.rpm

DEB

- Download and save the DEB file.
- Install the package by running:
$ sudo dpkg -i pkgName_pkgVersion_arch.deb

or update your NoMachine installation by running:
$ sudo dpkg -i pkgName_pkgVersion_arch.deb

TAR.GZ

- Download and save the TAR.GZ file.
- Install the package by running:
$ cd /usr
$ sudo tar xvzf .tar.gz
$ sudo /usr/NX/nxserver --install 

or update your NoMachine installation by running:
$ cd /usr
$ sudo tar xvzf .tar.gz
$ sudo /usr/NX/nxserver --update

If you are installing Enterprise Client or Node run respectively:
$ sudo /usr/NX/nxclient --update
$ sudo /usr/NX/nxnode --update
