NoMachine H.264 hardware encoding fails with Volta-based GPUs
NoNachine uses the NVIDIA Video Codec (NVENC) SDK version 4 for hardware accelerated encoding on Linux and Windows. NVIDIA cards based on Volta GPU microarchitecture require instead to use at least NVENC SDK 5.
In this case, the encoding used in the NoMachine session falls back to VP8. and the nxerror.log reports:
NvEncode: ERROR! Failed to encode frame.
NvEncode: ERROR! Error is 15, 'Invalid version'.
