On some hosts with PipeWire audio subsystem, sometimes it's not possible to reconnect a NoMachine virtual desktop
On some Linux hosts relying on PipeWire sound system, running for example Ubuntu 24.04, NoMachine virtual desktops cannot be reconnected. This is not reproducible on all machines and looks to be triggered by some race conditions.
As a workaround, instruct NoMachine to use ALSA sound system. To do that, edit /usr/NX/etc/node.cfg on the remote computer and set:
AudioInterface alsa
Then, create a new virtual desktop.
For multinode environments, this workaround needs to be applied on each node,
