White screen is displayed when connecting to a remote physical display (VP8 encoding)
When users connect to the physical desktop of a remote machine and VP8 encoding is enabled, they get a white screen.
This occurs only when connected from Windows.
As a workaround, use the H.264 encoding (default):
- Click on the !M icon in the system tray -> Show the service status' -> Server preferences -> Performance
- Choose 'Use a specific display encoding' and select 'H264'.
To set it manually instead, edit the /usr/NX/etc/node.cfg file and set:
EnableDisplayServerVideoCodec 1
DisplayServerVideoCodec h264
Note: white screen occurs also when MJPEG encoding is set.
